Jonathan happened to submit a request the moment I was starting an illustration. Because he is a photographer, he had a million photos, so it was easy for me to find one to draw, and of course, I chose the one where he wasn’t smiling.
I’m a writer living in Los Angeles, making emojis of faces I find on Instagram. When I get a moment, I paint portraits on canvases I build from reclaimed wood.
