To get an illustration, Daniel launched a campaign like no other. I couldn’t ignore him if I tried. I was drawn to the photos of his wedding, where he was notably tiny compared to his husband. It reminded me of the recent marriage equality decision and how love is the only thing that matters.
I’m a writer living in Los Angeles, making emojis of faces I find on Instagram. When I get a moment, I paint portraits on canvases I build from reclaimed wood.
