MOTORHEAD 2014.
Oil and acrylic on wood | 25″ x 24″
I started this portrait with the idea of a quiet man, who was good with his hands, knew how to fix things and keep his beard straight. Someone who can handle himself in a fight, yet never had the need. The canvas was built out of a weathered piece of barn and finished piece of plywood. I rendered the portrait to visually change at the border between old and new.

I’m a writer living in Los Angeles, making emojis of faces I find on Instagram. When I get a moment, I paint portraits on canvases I build from reclaimed wood.
