Gallery | Six Portraits.
I never thought that drawing people from Facebook would lead me to this group of paintings. With these portraits, I layered imagery to capture facets the subject’s personality. I don’t know if they are successful as individual portraits, but I think they work clustered into a series.
I’m a writer living in Los Angeles, making emojis of faces I find on Instagram. When I get a moment, I paint portraits on canvases I build from reclaimed wood.
