Plan B is sort of working out. I deconstructed the original painting and went with another plan, individual portraits.

Vegas is larger than life, noisy with slot machine bells and bright blinking bulbs. Robert performs on a Vegas stage, enchanting the audience with his expressive eyes and gigantic smile. I wanted this portrait to be one big neon sign pointing towards Happy.
I’m a writer living in Los Angeles, making emojis of faces I find on Instagram. When I get a moment, I paint portraits on canvases I build from reclaimed wood.
